Storyteller extraordinary Taffy
Thomas wore one of the most outlandish robes to grace a royal
occasion on 29th October 2002 when he received the MBE at Buckingham
Palace for services to charity.
Taffy from Grasmere, Cumbria
wore his silk "Tale Coat" which is covered in pictures from
his stories. The coat cost £4,000 and was funded by National
Lottery and Northern Arts Board grants.
