This is a transcript from a local press article about the football match held as part of the 2nd Epping Folk Festival:


As part of the Epping Folk Festival a charity football match is being held at St John's Comprehensive School.

The match between the Blue Moon All Stars and an Epping Folk Festival team will be on Sunday morning (kick off 11.45am). Admission is by programme (20p).

The match is to raise money for the local charity WISH (We're Involved with the Severely Handicapped).

The Blue Moon All Stars team will include Denny Lane, lead guitarist with Paul McCartney's Wings and a former member of the Moody Blues; Ralph McTell whose 'Streets of London' topped the charts; Richard Digance, Capital radio presenter and folk singer; Irish singer Noel Murphy; Melody Maker journalist Colin Irwin and Cliff Aungier, folk club performer.


The festival team will be made up of members of the Albion Morris Men, Epping folk singer Adrian May, Manchester writer of 'mucky poems' Les Barker, and the team will be ably led by Les's dog Mrs Ackroyd!
