Now then, here's a thing (literally!). We all know that the Albion Morris are collectively getting a bit long in the tooth and are, perhaps a touch unorthodox in their interpretation of the morris tradition, but who would have thought it started with this..


A painting of an early Albion performance wittily entitled "The Dance of Albion". It was painted by Bill William Blake in 1795. A critic wrote "Albion's dance displays close parallels with the Crucifixion, suggesting a life after death".
